A Black-headed Shrike, the eastern variety of the Long-tailed Shrike, perched on an electrical wire in southern Nepal.

It is similar to the Rufous-backed Shrike, but its head, from the eye mask up to the crown and nape, is black, as opposed to pearl grey with a black eye mask (fig.).
