Thailand

Construction of the first water treatment plant in Thailand was started in Bangkok in 1909, in the reign of King Rama V, but was completed only in the reign of King Rama VI, who declared it open in November 1914.

Today, there are several water treatment plants across the capital, including this one in Bangkhen.
