  Bagan Archaeological Museum

Bagan Archaeo-logical Museum, located in Old Bagan, not far from the remains of the southern gate of the old city wall.

 

The central and main hall features statues of four famous Kings of the Bagan Dynasty, that is to say King Anawrahta (fig.), King Kyansittha (fig.), King Alaungsithu (fig.) and King Kyaswa (fig.).

It also exhibits some Buddha images and the Yaza Kumar Stone Inscription, which is an important source for the history of Bagan (fig.).
