Asian Golden Cats are medium-sized wild cats, with a mostly foxy red to golden brown fur.

In Thailand they are called seua fai, meaning ‘fire tiger’, after the popular belief that burning its fur or eating its flesh, drives away tigers, though the Karen people believe that merely carrying a single hair of the cat is sufficient.
