Two jade imperial seals that were once used by Emperor Aisin Gioro Pu Yi of the Qing Dynasty (fig.), the Last Emperor of Imperial China, on display at the Palace Museum in the Forbidden City in Beijing (fig.).

In Chinese, personal seals are called yin zhang, and are generally square in shape. Nowadays they are available to anyone and are included in most wen fang si bao (fig.), but in the past they were mostly the property of the rich and powerful.
