Yasui qian, i.e. ancient Chinese coins (fig.), that are arranged on a red string, originally in a linear fashion, that can easily be tied around the wrist, though today they are more commonly found as hangers (fig.), that may be arranged in a different way, with the coins stringed into a more ornamental pattern, as in this circular arrangement.
