  waw doei-doei (toei-toei)

Thailand

This is a waw doei-doei, also referred to as a waw toei-toei. At the top, attached to it, is a humming bow known in Thai as a sa-noo or oot, which creates a distinct humming sound as the kite soars and catches the wind. The tail is adorned with a painting od Moo Deng, the popular pygmy hippopotamus born in 2024, at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo (fig.) in Chonburi.
