Reusi is the Thai counterpart of
the Indian
rishi (fig.).
He usually lives as an ascetic or hermit in a cave and is depicted wearing tiger fur
and often with a long beard, which stands at the basis
of the Thai name for
Spanish Moss (fig.),
i.e.
nuad reusi.
