Reua AB, or ‘AB boat’, is a term used by the Royal Thai Navy as shorthand for ‘Aluminium Boat’. These high-speed patrol vessels are used for law enforcement, search and rescue, and maritime security operations, especially on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

Equipped with an outboard engine, these small, versatile boats are primarily used for patrol and protection duties along rivers. In certain contexts, they are also adapted for use by special forces as Assault Boats, maintaining the same ‘AB’ designation.
