The rachaphreuk is a medium-sized deciduous tree, that grows to 20 meters tall and has drooping branches. Due to its countless showy yellow flowers (fig.), it is also known by the name Golden Shower, and because of its long, tubular seedpods, also as Drumstick Tree.
