Singapore

Mao bi, Chinese writing brushes, also called ink brushes. When not in use, the brushes are hung to dry on a special rack called a bijia (fig.).

 

Malaysia

Once dry, the brushes are typically stored in a box called a wen fang si bao (fig.). These brushes are usually made from real animal hair and have bamboo stalks.
