Chuoi hot, literally ‘seeds banana’, is the Vietnamese name for a species of wild, edible banana, with many large, inedible seeds. It has the botanical name Musa balbisiana and is in Thai known as gluay thani. This species is one of the ancestors of modern cultivated bananas.
