Sketch of three
snakes,
i.e. the sixth animal of the
Chinese Zodiac.
The sketch is from
the hand of Princess
Maha
Chakri
Sirindhorn,
and depicts
three
snakes, each in a
different colour,
namely bright, vibrant lime green; vibrant magenta, also referred to as
bright purple-pink; and mustard olive or muted yellow-green. Each snake has
a thought balloon with small bubbles that leads to the snake’s head,
describing its inner thoughts. The text in the first balloon reads mai ao
pla (ไม่เอาปลา), which translates to ‘I don't want fish’. The second balloon
conveys a similar message, but visually, through a drawing of a fish with a
cross over it, whilst the third balloon has a text that reads ao tae
ngu (เอาแต่งู), which means ‘I want
only snakes’. In blue underneath the sketch is the signature of
Sirindhorn. |
