Hemotoxic venom. Very painful bite, though usually not fatal it may lead to necrosis.

White-lipped Pit Vipers usually have a green dorsal side and a yellow ventral side, whilst its tail is brownish, and their eyes are generally yellow. Yet, occasionally there are snakes whose dorsal side is more yellowish and whose eyes are brownish red.

VENOMOUS! This snake is semi-dangerous. It has a hemotoxic venom and has a very painful bite, and though usually not fatal, in severe envenoming its is potentially lethal. Its bite may further lead to local pain, swelling, bruising, blistering, shock, moderate to severe coagulopathy and haemorrhagins with extensive bleeding, minor necrosis.
