Dong Thien Cung,
literally ‘Heavenly Palace
Cave’, is part of the larger
Dau Go Cave system on Dau Go Island in Ha Long Bay (fig.),
an area dotted with some 2,000 lime stone islands.
The spacious
cave with a high ceiling reportedly covers an area of
around 10,000 square meters and is located at an
altitude of circa 25 meters above sea level. Illuminated
with spots in various colours, many locals consider it
the most attractive cave in the bay.
