Museum of contemporary art, located
at Pathumwan Intersection
(fig.) in
Bangkok's
Pathumwan District.
The museum provides cultural programs and serves as a meeting place for
artists, featuring both in and outdoor art exhibitions, as well as an
arts library, cinema and music performances, etc. The museum opened in
July 2008, with an inaugural exhibition of photos made by Princess
Sirinthon.
In Thai, it is known as Ho Sin Wattanatham Haeng Krung Thep Maha Nakon (หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร),
or simply Ho Sin Krung Thep (หอศิลป์กรุงเทพฯ). It is also referred to by
its abbreviation BACC.
