  Striped Blue Crow (male)

PREVIOUS BUTTERFLY NEXT BUTTERFLY Vietnam

The male Striped Blue Crow has a wingspan of circa 9 centimeters and the underside of both its wings are brownish, with pale bluish-white marks along the outer edges of the wings, that near the top spread out towards the center.

Above, the forewings are identical to that of the female, i.e. glossy black, with a blue patch on the outer apex, which is dotted with pale bluish-white spots. It is somewhat reminiscent of the Magpie Crow (fig.).
