Slaty-headed Parakeet held as pet in a
Akha
village in
Chiang Rai
province. This male is somewhat similar
to the female
Grey-headed Parakeet (fig.),
but with a maroon shoulder patch. The upper mandible
is bright red-orange
while the lower mandible is a paler yellowish.
