  Silverfish

Thailand

A rather large Silverfish, spotted in Chiang Rai. In Thai, these nocturnal wingless insects are called malaeng sahm ngahm, literally ‘three-pronged insect’, referring to the three prongs at the end of its tapering abdomen, which consist of two long cerci, i.e. paired appendages, and one filament.
