The entrances to Siam Paragon, a major upscale shopping mall in Bangkok's Siam Area, in Thai pronounced Sayaam. With  an area covering around 52 rai, it is one of Thailand's largest shopping malls.

Whereas Siam is the ancient name for Thailand, for the latter part the Thai name uses a direct transliteration of the English word Paragon, meaning a ‘model of excellence’ or an ‘outstanding example’.
