The Scarlet Passion Flower has flowers with red petals and white-purple corona filaments, that surround the elongated floral axis.

The floral axis is topped by the ovary, from which sprout three purplish styles with stigmas that consist of lobe-like pads, with a whitish tip.

These stigmas grow facing downward. At its bottom, the flower's ovary is surrounded by the purplish filaments of the stamen, which have greenish to yellow anthers.
