This statue of King Rama VII, the last absolute monarch of Siam, stood symbolically in front of the building of the Thai Parliament Museum in Dusit, formerly also home to the Parliament House of Thailand, until the building was demolished after the legislative body moved to its new premises and also the museum was discontinued.
