Ra-kam is a palm fruit with the botanical name Salacca wallichiana and nicknamed ‘snake fruit’ due to its skin's snake-like pattern.

The outer skin is a brownish red. The fruits are similar to those of the Sa-la Palm (Salacca zalacca), but shorter and more rounded, whereas Sa-la fruits are more elongated and slender (fig.).
