Framed portrait of Prince Mahison Rachareuthay, who is also known as Chaiyanta Mongkon, at the entrance hall of Siam Commercial Bank's Talaat Noi branch (fig.) in Samphan Thawong, the bank's initial head office from 1910 to 1971. Thailand's first own domestic bank  was established on 30 January 1907 with the royal support of the prince, who at that time was Minister of Finance. The purple frame is the colour of choice of the SCB.
