The modern section of the Police Museum is located in the garden of Wang Parutsakawan (fig.), the former residence of Prince Chakraphong Phuwanaht (fig.), in Bangkok's Dusit district.

Certain rooms of the former residence (fig.), as well as the new building, display an exhibition on the evolution of the Royal Thai Police (fig.), both socially and politically, from the 13th century to the present (fig.).
