  Akha hat (Pahmi style)

Thailand

The largest headdress among the Akha is that of the Pahmi women (fig.). It consists of a large flap decorated with silver pins, which has a plate at the back and on the sides has horse flap-like covers.

These covers are overall red in colour and decorated with silver coins and some other silver jewelry. The headdress also has many strings of beads in different colours.
