  Jet Fighters Monument

The Jet Fighters Monument at the Royal Thai Air Force Academy, located opposite of the RTAF Headquarters in Bangkok, features sfour types of genuine jet fighter aircraft.

 

The aircraft are erected as if flying in formation, taking-off with a near-vertical angle. The decommissioned aircraft are an F-16A Fighting Falcon (fig.), a Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter (fig.), a Northrop F-5B Freedom Fighter (fig.), and a North American F-86 Sabre (fig.).

The monument was erected in 2012, the year in which Thailand commemorated the 100th Anniversary of the Founding Fathers of the Royal Thai Air Force (fig.).
