Hue War Museum is located at the southeastern outer corner of the Imperial City, within the compound of the Citadel (fig.).

The museum consists of an open field that displays decommissioned US military equipment, such as weaponry and combat vehicles, including tanks and helicopters.

Beside heavy equipment, it also features some small cannons and infantry support guns.
