The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi is located in between the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the former leader's official residence.

It consists of a massive square-shaped edifice with receded walls built well beyond a row of pillars that support the roof.

Sentinels in white military uniforms are posted fulltime at the tomb's entrance as honourary guards (fig.).
