Gac fruits (inside)

On the inside, ripe Gac fruits (fig.), also known Spiny Bitter Gourd, and in Thai as fak khao, have orange flesh of fruit and dark red aril surrounding the seeds.

In Vietnam, the latter is used to prepare a dish of sticky rice known as xoi gac (fig.).
