The
Flamingo Lily
is a
species of perennial plant,
with the botanical name Anthurium andraeanum. It grows to about
60 centimetres high and has large, hearth-shaped leaves. The
plant produces just one to two flowers, but they bloom all year
round and they are much-liked for their large colourful spathe,
which is usually bright red, though other colours have been
cultivated, including pink.
