  Flame of the Forest

Thailand

The Flame of the Forest bears large fluffy orange flowers that grow between 8 to 15 centimeters tall and which are attractive to birds such as the Spectacled Spiderhunter  (fig.) and the Grey-breasted Spiderhunter (fig.), that with their long, downward-curved bills can easily reach the nectar buried deep in these large flowers.
