 Subject:

Depiction of two human silhouettes in white, i.e. a women and a man, both represented in part and against a red sunburst-like background that darkens gradually towards the top, i.e. altering from bright orangey red at the bottom to dark, almost blackish red towards the top. Emerging from the bottom and lower sides of the design are yellow curved lines that each end in a small yellow dot and represent the harm of allergic diseases caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system to something in the environment. In black, in the bottom left corner is the logo of the event, i.e. a circle, representing the globe, with on the right a map of the Asian Pacific region and on the left a highly stylized human figure with the arms held up in the air, designed resembling an antibody or immunoglobulin, i.e. a Y-shaped protein produced by plasma cells that is used by the immune system to identify and neutralize pathogens, such as bacteria and viruses. In between the two is the number 1992, which refers to the year in which this event was held. On the inside of the lower part of the circle is the text Asian Pacific Congress of Allergology and Immunology’, while underneath it, along the outside of the circle is the wording November 22-24, 1992, Bangkok, Thailand’.
