The towering Dong Trieu Hero Monument in Quang Ninh Province, is located in a small park at a junction on the road between Hanoi and Halong Bay.

The war monument is in the style of Vietnamese Socialist Realism and commemorates local heroes (fig.) from the American-Vietnam War.
