A shop in Katmandu selling
Dhaka topi, i.e.
a type of
brimless hat (topi)
which is part of the Nepalese national dress (fig.).
It is named after the type of fabric it is made of, i.e. Dhaka, which in turn is
named after the capital of Bangladesh, where the typical design of the print
originated from. These caps are sometimes also referred to as Nepali topi. |
