A Common Evening Brown in its dry-season form may greatly vary in colour. This one was spotted in Chiang Mai and has dark tips to the brownish antennae, though others might have antennae with pale tips (fig.).

 

Its head and body is greyish-brown and the underside of its wings has the colour and pattern of a dead leaf.
