A female Cleartip Widow spotted near Mae Taeng in Chiang Mai. Whereas males are overall dark red, females are rusty brown.

Both sexes have transparent wingtips, but those of females additionally have a faint, thin, brown edge. Besides this, males have red eyes, whereas those of females are brown.
