The Brain Coral, i.e. the common generic name for any member of the family Mussidae, is a hemispherical shaped stony coral with a grooved surface, reminiscent of the folds of a mammal's brain.

In the bottom left corner of this photo, it is rather light in colour and visible in part, just behind the Latticed Butterflyfish.
