The entrance hall of the Bangkok Butterfly Garden & Insectarium in Bangkok's Chatuchak Park (fig.) gives access to its grid enclosed garden, which is covered by a lofty netlike canopy.

A footpath guides the visitor through a garden, which encompasses large shady trees, ferns, wild flowers, rockeries and a waterfall, mimicking these winged creatures' natural habitat.

Within the huge dome, over 500 butterflies are said to dwell at any given moment, though one needs to look for them as many are hiding in the vegetation.
