Banded Krait
A venomous and potentially deadly Yellow-banded Krait (fig.) or simply Banded Krait. It has alternate black and pale yellow bands of almost equal width, that encircle its body and tail.
In Thai, it is known as ngu saam liam, which literally means ‘triangular snake’ and refers to the elevated vertebral ridge. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
