The archipelago of Moo Koh Angthong has a total of 42 islands. Whereas Koh Wua Talap has a cave (fig.), Koh Mae Koh has a hidden treasure at then end of a hiking trail to an 240 meter high pinnacle with stunning views, i.e. huge mountain lake (fig.) known as the Emerald Lake. Most islands do not offer accommodation, thus boats come from the mainland and other nearby islands, such as Koh Samui (fig.) and Koh Pha Ngan (fig.).

However, Koh Wua Talap, one island of this group, is home to the park's headquarters and a ranger station, as well as some tourist facilities.
