A woman performing a brahmin rite during the Hindu festival of Vijayadazaami, that commemorates the victory of Rama over Ravana, is playing a bando, a small handheld double-sided drum, as well as blowing on a Sankha (fig.), the 'conch of victory', whilst wearing a garland of lemons, called puang manao (fig.).
