A Yellow-cheeked Tit spotted near Pokhara, in Nepal. Males have a bright yellow upper body, olive-yellowish lower body, a bright yellow head, with a large black crest and a bright yellow nape that runs upwards along the edge of the crest.

 

It has a black bib that extends all the way down across the belly to the vent, and a black posterior eye-stripe. Its upperparts are greyish-black, with olive-yellowish scales.

These scales change to pale greyish in colour when descending from above, and to white scaly spots on the other parts of the wings. The bill is black and the legs and feet are yellowish-grey.
