  Whip Scorpion

Thailand

A Whip Scorpion, spotted in Pha Taen National Park in Ubon Ratchathani. These invertebrates are also known as vinegarroons, due to the vinegar-like scent that they can excrete in defense from a gland near the back of their abdomen, when they feel threatened. See also List of Thai Insect Names.
