  Vietnamese Pheasant

A male Vietnamese Pheasant. It can be recognized by its dark blackish blue plumage, with scaled light bluish green feathers on the wings. It has a red facial skin, white crest feathers and brown eyes. Its legs and feet are pinkish red.

 

This particular one lacks any white flight feathers on the tail, but can still be distinguished from the Edwards' Pheasant by its longer white crest feathers. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
