  King Bayinnaung Statue

Statue of Taungoo King Bayinnaung, the ruler and military leader, who is fully known as Bayinnaung Kyawhtin Nawrahta (fig.), in Tachileik (fig.), complete with a mango-shaped royal staircase (fig.) leading up to the statue.

 

He is considered one of the three greatest kings of Burma, whose military campaigns led to the unification of Burma and the integration of many other former sovereign kingdoms and states into the Burmese Taungoo Empire.
