  Ban Khamthiang

Thailand

Ban Khamthiang is a 160 year old authentic Thai teak house located in Bangkok, and which serves as an ethnological museum under royal patronage (fig.).

Though most roofs are decorated in the northern style, i.e. with a kalae (fig.), some buildings also have roofs in the style of central Thailand, i.e. decorated with a hook or antefix (fig.).
