Vietnam

The Presidential Palace in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, dates from the beginning of the twentieth century and is built in the French colonial style. The yellow walls with red roof is the official colour used for most if not all government buildings across Vietnam, including also army and public school buildings.

Initially built to house the French Governor-General of Indochina, the Presidential Palace was later used as the official residence of Ho Chi Minh. Today it is one of the city's landmark buildings.
