The Pha Au Toya hillside Buddha images are located in a garden-like setting at the northeastern foot of Mandalay Hill (fig.). Though they at first glimpse appear to be carved from wood, they are actually made from stone.

Each of this brown statues is housed in its private shelter at the base and to the east of the Pha Au Toya Buddhist Retreat.
