  Oriental Whip Snake

A yellow Oriental Whip Snake spotted in a banana plant at a forest near Nong Hin in Loei Province. The head, which is reminiscent of that of a common house gecko, is spear-shaped.

 

The body is finger-thin and tapers to a very thin pencil-width neck. These snakes exists in yellow, brown and green colour variations, with on the back a checkered pattern of blackish-brown and white bars.
